Today I made 39 phone calls to 32 different stores (had to call the Future Shops twice because they get their deliveries around noon) looking for a Wii. And that's not counting the times I was hung up on, or the line was busy, or no one answered and I had to call back ( Read more... )

i dont think waiting a year for them to produce enough units to meet the demand would be all that fun.

i know id rather wait 5 mounths to get to play one instead of the year.

and claire adds something about needing capitol from ones sold now to make more, or something economical like that

Still, it's better than the PS3 which sold out everywhere in the first 10 minutes of every single store opening (mostly to greedy assholes who were just going to resell them on ebay).

I think I may like to purchase one eventually, but I personally would rather wait a while before getting one and then it will a) have the bugs sorted out and b) be substantially cheaper
