Chapter Six
When he woke the next morning and looked at his sleeping boyfriend, last night all seemed like an amazing dream to Kyuhyun.

But when he wanted to wake up Ryeowook with a 'good morning beauty", his voice was gone.

Not even a single sound would part from his lips and his silent crying was what eventually awoke Ryeowook.

"Kyu... What's wrong?" he asked worried, still groggy with sleep. When Kyuhyun didn't answer he immediately sat up in bed. "Kyu, tell me, you're worrying me!"

Kyuhyun didn't want to answer him, even if he could.
Weren't things only going to be worse from now on?

But he knew that there was no way to avoid it, so he laid a hand on his throat and opened his mouth, trying to say something, anything, but nothing came out, and Ryeowook understood, even though he knew nothing.

"Let's get you to the hospital!" and with those words Ryeowook rose from bed, pulled on some clothes, and pulled at Kyuhyun’s arm to get him along, but Kyuhyun stayed put and reached for a pen and paper, hastily writing down a few words, then showing it to Ryeowook.

'it's no use.'

And now Ryeowook was crying as well.

"Let's go!" he said again, desperately.
And Kyuhyun just underlined the words he had just written and showed it to Ryeowook again.

‘it’s no use.’

Ryeowook left the room then, slamming the door behind him.

The next moment Kyuhyun could hear a knock and a door opening. Sungmins voice, though he couldn't make out what they were saying. A door closing and the obvious sound of crying continued.
Kyuhyun couldn't stand the sound and left his room, though he didn't know where he should go.

In Sungmins room Ryeowook was crying and trying to explain at the same time.

As soon as Sungmin heard that Kyuhyun had been his stand-in last night he understood what had happened.

"I feel so guilty hyung! This is my fault right? If only I was brave enough to get on stage alone, none of this would have happened!"

"You didn't know, Ryeowook, you didn't know..." but I knew, he thought.

"But the guilt is still there, hyung, it hurts so much, you wouldn't understand, it hurts! Eotokke?" and Ryeowook was sobbing and shaking, but Sungmin knew his pain.

"You feel guilty? I was the one who cancelled! I am the one who knew! I am the guilty one!! Not you, why are youcrying, you're not the guilty one, nor are you the one who lost his voice! I should be crying!"
and he finally was.
"-and Kyuhyun should be crying! He probably is, so what are you doing here? If you don't want him, I'll take him!"
it was a lot more than Sungmin had meant to say, but the words came out none the less.
Ryeowook laid a hand on Sungmin’s back, trying to comfort him, but the older one pushed him away. “I’m not the one you should be comforting. Unless you really don’t want him anymore?”

"No, hyung, that wasn't it, I wasn't saying that I don't want him, it's just.." Sungmin opened the door and gestured for Ryeowook to leave. "Then go tell him. I'm sure he would be a lot happier than me to hear those words."
