For the last week or so, a male cardinal has been banging on the kitchen window. He's there all day, every day, sitting on the sill and tap-tap-tapping away. If we go into the kitchen, he retreats to the rhododendron just outside the window. ...knowing someone is proud of you is the most important thing of all.

There are very few things in life that can't be cured (or at least greatly eased) by a good cup of tea and a slice of homemade chocolate cake with fudge icing.

I speak from recent personal experience.

I've decided to keep track of the books I read/reread this year.  I don't have any particular number of books as a goal.  I have rather eclectic taste in reading material so just about anything may pop up here and I have no intention of reviewing anything I read although I may add comments from time to time.
