Love Angel Music Baby/Part 3

Getting Brian alone was easier said than done. Jerry hung all over him
like he was afraid to let him out of his sight. Funny how Curt had
forgotten that part. He thought he remembered it all. Every fucking
detail.

"Hey, man," he said when he finally managed to track him down.

The reward for that softly uttered greeting was a look of such intense
longing that Curt flushed. "Hi."

"You look beautiful." There. That was clear enough. He was being
completely upfront about his feelings. Not that he remembered holding back
anything the first time.

Brian's eyes slid away from his, but it was both evasion and delicious
invitation. "You shouldn't say things like that."

"Why?" he asked hoarsely.

"A fella might take them to heart."

"I want you to." Curt's eyes flashed as he bent his head close to his
objective, only to have Brian avert his face at the last moment.

"You don't even know me."

Curt struggled to recall what he had said in response to that, but nothing
came to mind. "You'd be surprised what I know about you."

Brian seemed momentarily taken aback, but quickly recovered his
equilibrium. "I'm married."

"I know."

"That doesn't matter to you?"

Curt shook his head slowly. "It never did." Oh. That was a slip. He didn't
know what the rules of playing in this universe were, but he was pretty
sure that telling someone that he'd already passed this way before was one
of the lines he shouldn't cross.

"You're not...jealous?" Brian asked with what Curt could only surmise to
be a trace of coyness.

"Do you want me to be?"

Brian nodded as Curt leaned even closer, seemingly mesmerized by the
proximity of his mouth.

"Then I am. Incredibly."

Brian's breath was coming in little fits and starts. That was more than a
little seductive, and Curt lowered his mouth, so slowly that it was
inevitable they would be interrupted before they could kiss.

"Brian! There you are. And Curt. What a...surprise."

Brian sighed, but it was a barely audible sound that did nothing to ease
the strain on Curt's nerves.

Curt wanted that kiss. Before they became part of the public circus that
literally swallowed them up. Before PR entered the picture and cheapened
what should have been a private and ultimately romantic moment.

It was imperative to him that they didn't wait.

Maybe it would change everything that followed. He certainly hoped so.

Send him away, Curt willed Brian to tell his manager. Please.

Brian cocked his head curiously, and for a second, Curt wondered if he had
said the words out loud.

"Leave us."

Jerry raised one eyebrow imperiously, apparently trying to convey how
little he thought of the product compelling the producer to do *anything*.

Brian's gaze returned to Curt, patently dismissing the older man, and
Jerry saluted him crisply. "As you wish, Master Demon." But he was
definitely not pleased by this tiny bit of rebellion, no matter how small.

After Jerry left, Brian smiled faintly. "Where were we?"

Curt wasted no time in regaining what ground they'd lost. His long, elegant fingers, roughened by years of guitarplaying, framed Brian's face. He tugged, gently at first, then harder, compelling Brian to follow if he wanted this as much as he did.

Oh, he did. Brian kept his eyes open, their brightness never failing to illuminate what Curt had begun to see as his darkness, and Curt claimed his lips purposefully.

Possessively.

This then was different. Curt had never taken the initiative the first time. Though he was probably the more experienced of the two, when it came to fucking boys, Curt had bowed to Brian's need to control their relationship. In and out of bed.

But if this was different, so was Curt. Curt knew something that this Brian didn't. That lust was not love. That infatuation was not romance.

And that he alone could show Brian the difference.

Because one thing had not changed and never would.

Curt loved Brian.

He was physically and emotionally incapable of loving anyone else.

That meant he had to succeed. That gave him the greatest incentive in the world.

And when Brian opened his mouth and began to kiss him back, he knew that all things were possible.

He kissed him again and again, tenderly, wistfully, because he knew how much he was asking. The words, always the same, played like music inside of him, but he couldn't let go of those yet.

Too much too soon would frighten Brian away.

But he wanted, oh, how he wanted, and those words found their way into his kisses anyway. Unspoken, but every bit as powerful.

Brian looked dazed when Curt forced himself to break away from him. He was hard. Just from a few kisses. That had never happened to him before. Brian wondered what it could mean.

Curt's thumb smoothed its way over Brian's cheek. Brian leaned into the caress and sighed happily. No one had ever touched him like this.

There had been fucking, God, yes, endless fucking. But not this...connection. Brian felt vaguely nervous and almost afraid, but he refused to back away .

He wanted to be kissed that way again. And more. He wanted to know what Curt's secrets were.

All of them.
