IFC is running some kind of Punk Rock Weekend film marathon this weekend, and guess what made the list? Velvet Goldmine!!! All of the films will be shown uncut. Mmm...I've seen this how many times? I've got two copies on DVD, two on VHS, the original screenplay, and I still watch it whenever it's on. LOL!

VG is punk rock?! I guess because of the whole "death of glitter" stuff. ;)

I wasn't quite sure how VG made the list either. Unless it was because of Curt Wild. He is supposed to be the icon of punk rock, I think, versus Brian's icon of glam rock. Plus TV Eye and Gimme Danger are both punk rock songs by Iggy Pop. Maybe that's it?

Any reason they find to show VG is good for me, though. :-)
