My dear grandfather hit 90 yesterday, which means that our family is now officially long lived. Apparently this means cheap life insurance, and expensive pensions. Like I've got round to getting either. The weekend was fab though... I've been paying into a pension fund for years - I fully intend to live forever, so it seems worthwhile.

I refuse to believe that it is possible to truthfuly use the words "amused" and "cricket" in the same sentence without the inclusion of the word "landmines". :)

yes i'm pleased they won and so quickly, as long as i don't have to watch it. I work next the Oval and trying to get home after a hard days work while several thousand people who have just watched the cricket do the same isn't fun. As you can imagine seeing everyone go home at lunch made me happy boy

hiya sweetie
glad to see you had a good weekend...it was odd not being with you at slimes but i still had a good time...how did everything go
all i can suggest about london and boredom is that many of the leading art galleries are free...the national portrait gallery has/had a really good exhibition called the BP awards which is good for modern portraiture
the tate britain has a really good exhibition of bridget riley works but you have to pay for it but its definatly worth it
