Not updated this in a while (mainly due to work - too much to do, too little time to do it all), and with London Expo being a mere five days away, here's what I've been up to recently, cosplay-wise.

Various life stresses have meant that my sword has been on a bit of a back-burner lately, but with a month to go till London Expo, it's still coming along nicely. The blade itself needs one more bit of painting but is otherwise done, the handle has been painted gold and now just needs to be filled, and the guard is just a few coats of paint and ( Read more... )

If I'd started work on the sword the weekend before the con rather than the day before, it probably would have been finished in time. Oh well! I'm still happy with how it's coming out so far - the blade is done, apart from a few bits on the paintwork that need tidying up, and all I need to do now is fix up the handle and figure out what shape I ( Read more... )

So, Minami has been and gone, and what fun it was. There were lots of cosplayers this year, as always, and they were by and large all fantastic. I'll get around to fully processing my photos at some point before the weekend and stick them up in my Facebook gallery ( Read more... )

This will probably be my last update before Minamicon, partly because I'm leaving tomorrow morning, and partly because I want to keep the full, finished coat for the con itself :P

So, as it stands, Sephiria's outfit is only a few hours away from completion. The fasteners have been attached (and what a pain in the bum they were), the cuffs have been made and attached, and the yellow trim has been attached to the cuffs, collar and lapels. Friday night saw the lining of my Sephiria coat finally being attached to the inside, and I don't think I could be any happier with how it's come out. I remember the days when I never used to line anything (how did I ever let myself get away with that?) and it really does make a huge difference.
