It wasn't really directly aimed at me, but it felt that way. I haven't been to positive about Spn lately and I just saw a post come by here where someone was super angry about people being negative and how dare we ruin their enjoyment of the last season. I mean... I'm not out to ruin other peoples fun, but I think I'm allowed to express my anger and disappointent on my own social spaces. But I guess I just have to bottle it all up and let it fester. :/
If they don't want to see negativity, they have the option to avoid it. No one ruins anything for them, that's their perception.
I've lost a few LJ friends for expressing negative opinions about the show, even though I'm mostly show positive. Because they couldn't tolerate even the slightest criticism, and that's really not fair.
You have a right to express your feelings, no need to bottle it up.
I don't like reading negative - because I like to still enjoy the show, but I don't find it really hard to just skip that post, or skip further down the twitter feed whenever there is a rant that I don't want to read. Seriously, no one is forcing you to read other people's rant! Let them rant on
( ... )
*SIGH* Loving something doesn't mean there isn't room for criticism or dissappointment. In fact, I would argue that if you care deeply about something, including this TV show we've poured so much time and energy into, you can't help but want it to be the best version of itself and in turn feel disappointed when it's not. For me, seeing all of the differing opinions about the show's storylines characters is what makes it fun; I'm sure I'm not the only one.
