Hey guys. It's been a while huh? I really didn't think it would ever come to a time where I wouldn't post or check out Livejournal, but I guess it finally happened...

I guess there are several reasons for that, and I think one of the main reasons is that I've kind of fallen off of the fandom bus.

I totally understand what you're saying. The horrible, horrible writing has driven the series into the ground. The boys are still trying their dam best, but they've got so little to work with. I would love to see ten more seasons with good writing, but as it is it's a creeping death.

The purity police and the ragging extremist shippers aren't helping. There is also an increasingly sad trend of SPN/RPS writers deleting ONLY their SPN/RPS work and leaving up their other fandoms. That's just horrible. There is so much great fic out there and another ten years won't even touch being able to read it all, but people burning it is just so sad.

I wish the boys would just do a new series together : ) But I guess that is VERY wishful thinking.

I'm retired now, so not going out any more than necessary. You and your little ones stay safe. We'll hope we get a cure in the next year or so, but that's a long way from now.

Yeah, it's such a shame. J2 where still giving it their all, but if you only get crap writing to work with, well...

I'm there with you. For me SPN ended with the next to last episode of season 12.Everything else has been a dumpster fire.

My opinion, not looking for argument. :D

Oh it makes a LOT of sense. I am watching season 15, and there have been a couple of decent episodes, but rather too many near the beginning that made me - for the first time - furious at the show and the writers. But. My boys. I can't abandon them now, so I'll watch the last seven episodes braced for a debacle that I will probably have to erase from my memory bank later. We'll see.

You are wise to steer clear of Twitter fandom - the purity brigade, the extreme Destiellers, the self proclaimed Big names - it really is a trash fire. I don't always agree with everyone's opinions on Discord but I love that we can have proper chats on there and respect each other's point of view - but I still prefer LJ's format to everything else out there. It's very sad so many people left and dispersed onto different platforms. It makes it so hard to keep in touch with everyone.

I really wanted to keep watching because I really don't want to abandon them either, but I also didn't want to be angry all the time either. So I'm gonna sit back and wait, and hope that the ending isn't to terrible.

Oh yeah, I don't always agree either. I guess that's what you get when you're a Dean girl on a server full of Sam fans. :') I really miss the LJ days as well, so I'm making an effort to try and post here more. I'm not sure how well it'll go, but I'm gonna give it a shot.

Heh, I know, I locked myself out of the Bitter Sam thread because I was getting angry about the Dean bashing. I dont' really see why loving one brother means you have to end up bashing the other one, I don't feel like that about Sam. Oh well.

It's a shame the boys won't work together anymore. Jensen will be filming The Boys at Kripke's, Jared has his own project, Walker. I agree that I would very much like to see them together. SPN is a unique series and I agree with Jensen, I also love the first seasons, , when everything was simple and there were no angels and demons yet

Oh yeah, the first few seasons where def. the best. I'll miss J2 working together. But who knows, maybe a few years down the line they'll do something together again. *crosses fingers*
