I need food...

My mom told me I need to fast for three days to clear my system of all food except fruits and vegetables and then after that each week I will add a certain food group to see if I'm allergic to something. Then hopefully all of these horrible stomach aches I get at least twice a day will go away ( Read more... )

you should get this milkshake-ish powder stuff. it's like the ultimate healthy food and yet it's a milkshake. or, at least you put it into the milkshake to make it all powerful and whatnot. i don't remember the name, but, yeah.

hah, that'd be great. We'll see if I'm lactose intolerant though. I've gone a couple of days without it and I'm still getting stomach aches so we're just taking it one day at a time. As long as I can just put that stuff into water that'd be great though.

damn. that really sucks. but you know its a good thing to clean your system and all that.
:(
hopefully you're just lactose intolerant as emily and i are. then you can join the club of strangeness and also entirely ignoring the fact that you're lactose intolerant via el chai milkshake via teahouse.

ps. how completely unhelpful was grant's comment? completely.

haha, yeah, ignoring it... I doubt that would work due to the fact that I'm not a big fan of pain. And I'd be really surprised if The Tea House doesn't have anything for people who are lactose intolerant. Oh well, we'll see on Thursday, when we go there before Emily's play. I'm pretty sure I can finally make it, but I am working until eight, maybe I can get a sub for like an hour or so.

yeah, lactose intolerance isn't so bad as long as you ignore the fact you have it.

fasting is definitely good for you, and a great way to cleanse your system. However, you have to aid your fast with the proper necessities such as drinking LOTS of water (2 nalgenes per day is recommended) and drinking tea. They sell a fasting tea specifically for fasting that will soothe your tummy with licorice root which helps stimulate saliva production which will then coat the inside of your empty tummy and protect it from all the harmful acids that are giving you stomache aches.

I would definitely recommend it, along with avoiding naturally acidic foods, particularly strawberries, lemons, and most citric fruits while on this diet.
