snow days

I know I tend to be overextended and run around much too much trying to get everything under the sun done (page proofs?  yeah, don't ask, I'll get to them any minute now, really) - but this week has pretty much forced me to stop.  And I gotta say I like it.

If you'd asked me, I'd've said that a week of not going anywhere or seeing anyone would drive

my kid told me last night that she thought being trapped inside was good for me. I have been surprisingly relaxed. We have played a lot of games, did crafts, read books, watched movies. there is just nothing I can do about getting to work, and all the attorneys and banks are closed anyway, so no business is getting done. Nothing to do but hang out with my kid and have a good time :)

so I think what we need is a couple of winning lottery tickets so we can do this leisure thing even when it's not forced by nature for a week.
