How we pass the time

Going to the movies always intrigues me. It's like, you go and sit in the theater for two hours or whatever, and you come out, and you see that the little world is moving around just like it was before you left. You go home and you feel like you've done something, gotten social points or something, and you have that little laugh at your family ( Read more... )

i dont know if this is what a movie theater would do, but if i ran one i think i would have employees go and say something to people in the theatres and not wait for the movie to end, you know?

I think it's incredibly sad and depressing that things can go by so regularly that people don't even think about things like...what is my bus driver thinking this very moment? What if this tree here fell over on that little girl and she screamed and the whole parkinglot turned to see her mangled under the tree? We've become so adapt to simply Being and not giving our lives any depth whatsoever...

And to that 9/11 movie statement, why ruin a perfectly good movie with news no one wants to know anyhow?

It was like that with everyone.
We go about our business and we take for granted that everyday will be like the day before.
We sat in class with our eyes half closed waiting for a bell to ring, because that's what happened everyday. And then we got up when the bell rung, and we went out into the halls, and a friend runs over to tell us whats happened, or the loudspeaker comes on and an announcement is made.
Or maybe we were in work, going about usual business, thinking about what television programme we were going to watch when we got home, when someone yells to be quiet and turns up the radio.
Or we were in a grocery, or a clothing store. We were all just going about our business as if everyday would be like the last, and the day after the same.
