Weekend

This weekend is off to a good start:
- I've now lost 50 lbs since Gwen was born (all the pregnancy weight and a most of the traveling consultant weight).  Yay!
- It was "bag day" at the Assistance League Thrift Store (as much as you can fit in a paper grocery bag for $5, and they have good stuff too).  Timely.
- I made Dutch Babies for breakfast, and

Hooray for a successful weekend!

Are you doing EC with Gwen? How's that working? (Clearly fairly well, if you're getting 8 successful trips to the potty in one day!) I'm interested to learn more about your experience. Does she go to daycare at all? When did you start?

When are you coming to Atlanta? I'd love to see you, if possible!

Our schedule is pretty packed this weekend, otherwise I'd try to see if there's a time to meet up. Bummer. :-(

It's really fascinating to read your experience with EC! I have to admit, the first time I heard about it, I thought it was a ridiculous concept. And then I heard a little bit more about it, and thought "Okay, this isn't TOO crazy..." And now I'm curious enough to hear personal stories and perhaps try it with Carter. Your experience makes it seem pretty easy (and fun, haha), so I'm tempted to try it. My reluctance is because he goes to childcare facility three days a week, and I know they definitely won't be doing it there, so that may cause some regression. But it's worth a shot, and even if it only saves me some cloth diapers, it's still less laundry to do! Maybe I can even get Toby in on helping me - we're potty training him right now, so adding Carter to the mix might make potty time more exciting for him, too. Is there a good book/website you recommend so I can learn more about how to actually do it?

Check out godiaperfree.com I wish I'd found that website when we were getting started, as I just couldn't figure out how to hold Gwen as a newborn. For me the pictures helped a lot, but she's way too old for the "classic EC hold" now. I paid for her book and extra content and private facebook group. I like the facebook group, the book I thought was okay (been doing it for 3 months by then and was hoping it would tell me stuff I didn't already know, and it mostly didn't). The paid media library hasn't been brought back up since her website reboot, last I checked. I liked her archived podcasts. She also has transcripts of them on the website.
