Okay, new theory: if it's Friday, and it's seventy degrees and sunny, and you're hungry, and you haven't messed anything up all morning, and you're an intern and you're not getting paid anyway, you should get to go home early. Right? Who's with me ( Read more... )

He is very cute. It's distracting, but he only comes to visit once a day or so. So not CRAZY distracting. :)

1.) Even before I finished reading your sentence about the clock, I thought to myself "That's totally right out of Gilmore Girls." And then you referenced GG, and it made me happy.

2.) That Mindy Kaling quote is hilarious. Thank you.

I can't help it. That show has imprinted itself on my brain. It just comes out.

You're welcome. Delightful, no?

Weird, I was just thinking about you this morning, and how I haven't seen a post in a little while, and then there you are!

It sounds like LA is treating you pretty damn well, and the internship sounds much better than many of those that you interviewed for have probably turned out to be.

Oh House of Pies, how I miss the opportunity to have dutch apple or caramel apple pie at 3am.

Mindy Kaling IS pretty damn awesome. If that deal is true, I can't wait to see what she's got for us all!

(PS, I'm gettign WAAAYYY ahead of myself, but I'm curious as to where you found the internship openings. I'm thinking it'd be a great thing for me to attempt on my summer break. )

LA is treating me pretty well (though I'm about to start looking for real, probably assistant-type, jobs, and that is TERRIFYING), and the internship is definitely a winner. No horror movies in 3-D, anyway.

I had the cherry this time, and it was okay--but on the way out, I caught a glimpse of the Dutch apple, which looks amazing! Next time, for sure. (My usual is the bavarian chocolate banana, but I'm trying to branch out.)

God, I just...Mindy Kaling is my totem. I completely adore her and her blatant love for romantic comedies.

I hope she gets to make hers. I hope girafffes and I get to make ours. (I've told you about this, no? If not, email is necessary.)

Also, your L.A. fun week sounds...fun, for lack of a better word.

I have had this exact thought. Could I have her bronzed, do you think?

Not in detail. Email! Email!

It WAS fun. I'm glad I have somebody to have adventures with--that'll connect you to a new city like nothing else!
