Summary: - Jensen has an important meeting to attend, but he hates the idea to leave his pregnant lover alone. Jared’s feeling sad in the meantime. That’s when Mike and Tom come to the rescue.

“Shit man……..do I have to?” Jensen swore in annoyance.

“Jensen do you think I would ask you to do this if it wasn’t important?” came the patient reply.

“Uhh…no…I know you won’t. But for me it’s not more important than my family and right now I can’t think beyond Jared and my kids.” Jensen replied.

“Jensen it’s just a meeting! I am not asking you to jump and take up the project without knowing the details and shooting schedule and outdoor stuffs whatever’s required. All I am asking you to do is get dressed and meet up with him. I don’t push for nothing Jensen and last time I checked James Cameron was not nothing. And you guys have worked together earlier, you know him. He is really interested in working with you again. Well with both you and Jared actually. But I have explained Jared’s condition to him, so just talk to him and I promise you that I won’t ask you to take the project if it clashes with Jared’s delivery or with your planned vacation with your family. Just go have a chat, see what he has to offer.” Jensen and Jared’s manager, Ralph, told him.

“Ralph, man you know …..Fuck! Man. I don’t like leaving Jared alone now. Anything can happen.” Jensen still argued.

“Jensen you worry too much. Call for some friends. Jared will be alright. Besides, how do you think he will feel if you don’t even go to the meeting?” Ralph asked.

“He’ll never…” Jensen started but stopped, “you told him? Ralph? Why would you do that?” Jensen almost yelled.

“Hey! It’s my job okay? He’s my client too. Mr. Cameron expressed his desire to work with him and I had to convey the message to Jared.” Ralph defended himself.

Jensen squeezed his eyes shut to calm himself down.

“Whatever curses you’re thinking to hurl at me, do it. I won’t stop ya. But at least I do my job. Just because I’m your friend, doesn’t mean I’ll let you miss a potential project and don’t you use the Jared card on me. He is my friend too and you know how much I care about the kid. Common Jen. Just a meeting.” Ralph coaxed Jensen softly.

Jensen sighed. He knew Ralph was right. A simple meeting won’t hurt at all. Ralph was a fellow Texan and was friends with Jared from San Antonio and with Jensen from LA and after Supernatural ended, the boys hired him as their manager. Ralph actually wanted to make his career as a scriptwriter but he started enjoying his work of a manager for various new actors and when Jensen and Jared offered him the job, he was more than happy. Being their friend helped as he knew exactly what the boys liked and he felt completely responsible for their careers. That was the reason why he wanted Jensen to meet James Cameron.

Flipping the phone shut, Jensen sighed and buried his face in his hands. He really hated to leave Jared at night like this but now there was no way out. He has already given his word to Ralph and besides, Jared knew. And he won’t let Jensen miss the meeting.

“One meeting wouldn’t hurt you too much to attend Jenny”

Jensen jumped although the words were spoken very softly, almost like a whisper.

He turned his head to find Jared leaning on the wall of the kids’ room, across the living room, where Jensen was.

Jensen quickly got up and got to his lover’s side wrapping an arm around the younger man’s waist.

“What are you doing here?” Jensen asked, as he helped Jared to the couch.

“Rico wasn’t sleeping, had to sit with him for a while” Jared answered with a smiled and sat on the couch.

Jensen sat beside him and kissed his forehead.

“How are you feeling? How are the pains?” he asked in a worried voice.

“Jenny I am fine. A little tired but fine. Calysta checked me up in front of you. There’s nothing wrong. Braxton Hicks are normal and I didn’t have any since she left. Now don’t change the topic. Tell me why you were giving Ralph a hard time just then?” Jared asked seriously, although a soft smile graced his face.

Jensen sighed, “Baby you know I don’t like to leave you alone at night. And I wasn’t giving Ralph a hard time. He had that coming.”

Jared laughed, “You realize he was only doing his job. Besides, Tom and Mike are coming anyway. I don’t think they’ll mind to stay a little longer. We can all have dinner together. I’ll order something. The kids haven’t seen them in a while, so they’ll be happy too. And you know how Mike is with me. He won’t let me get up from the couch. You got nothing to worry.”

Jensen worried his bottom lip for a while, then gave up with a sigh. There was no way out of the meeting and the sooner he accepted it the better.

“You sure you’ll be okay?” Jensen asked touching his lover’s swollen stomach.

“We’ll be fine Jenny” Jared smiled, joining his hand on his belly.

“You’ll call if anything…anything at all happens?” Jensen asked again.

“Promise Jenny bean.” Jared smiled and kissed his lover’s lips. Jensen kissed back deeply.

“Okay. I better tell baldy and bigfoot about the dinner plans.” Saying Jensen got off the couch with a soft kiss on Jared’s nose.

Jared smiled when he felt a sharp kick in his abdomen.

“Hey! You happy too huh baby? “ he smiled rubbing circles there, “I know you are bub. You are excited to see Uncle Mike and Uncle Tommy hmm? We’ll see them soon.” Another kick to the side. “I love you too baby.” Jared smiled wrapping an arm around his huge stomach and sighed, “Just wait for a little more kiddo. You’re gonna be with us very very soon. Just two more weeks. Everyone’s waiting for you to come. Your big brothers specially. I’ll see ya soon love.” He cooed softly, calming the child inside.

Ryan and Danny were super excited when they got the news that Mike and Tom were coming. The kids adored them and were very close to them. It took a lot of persuasion on both Jared and Jensen’s parts just to make the kids sit and play calmly until their uncles arrived.

Jensen got ready for his meeting and flopped down beside Jared on the couch.

“Whacha doing babe?” he asked to the distracted man.

“Huh? Oh…nothing. Just thinking” Jared replied sullenly.

“Thinking huh? About what?” Jensen asked again, not liking the sad look on his lover.

“Nothing Jenny. Just stuffs. Nothing important. Besides it’s silly.” Jared huffed.

“I’m sure it’s not silly. What is it?” Jensen pushed the matter.

“Like I said Jenny, not important. And trust me its real silly. Anyway leave that. You need to keep your mind clear of stupid stuffs and look forward for the meeting. I want you to take it as seriously as you would have taken if Nathan wasn’t due in a couple of weeks. Don’t worry about us. We’ll be fine”, then laughed “I promise he won’t pop out without you.”

Jensen laughed and was about to kiss Jared when the bell rang.

“Damn baldy and bigfoot.” He muttered getting up as Jared burst out laughing.

“Fucking terrible timing you two. Fucking terrible” Jensen greeted his friends with that.

“Whoa! You hurt me Ackles! How am I gonna survive after hearing that?” Mike acted hurt clutching his heart.

“Shut up baldy” Jensen smiled hugging his friend.

“Freckles” Mike called back hugging him.

“Hey Bigfoot” Jensen hugged Tom.

“Short bus” Tom laughed hugging his friend.

“Hey Mikey” Jared smiled from the couch.

“Hey Kid” Mike smiled as he came to him and hugged the pregnant man.

“Now that’s a proper welcome. I knew I should have adopted you long before as my baby brother” Mike smiled ruffling Jared’s hair.

“Hey Jay” Tom smiled giving a hug to him.

“Hey Tommy. Thanks for coming guys.” Jared smiled big.

“How are you feeling now?” Tom asked taking a seat beside his friend.

“I’m okay. Don’t worry. Jensen has the habit to exaggerate things” Jared assured smiling.

“Hey Mikey, you want a drink?” Jensen asked in his best Jared voice.

“Hey did I say that you get to call me that? And get me a quick beer slave. I don’t like to wait” Mike called back, laughing.

Jensen laughed and went to the kitchen muttering something about bossy friends.

“How’s the kiddo kid?” Mike asked turning to Jared and Tom.

Jared laughed, “Mikey you realize how weird that just sound?”

Mike laughed as Jared took his hand and placed it on his bump. Instantly Nathan kicked to greet his uncle.

“Whoa! Soccer pro. It’s nice to meet you again” Mike smiled.

“He’s up till now?” Tom asked smiling.

“Oh he’s always up” Jared replied and placed Tom’s hand as Nathan gave another kick.

“Man, I can’t wait to hold the kid in my arms” Tom smiled.

“All of us Tommy. All of us.”

“Uncy Mike! Uncy Tommy!!!!!!!” the hyper voices of Ryan and Danny came as the two ran from their room and crashed into their uncles.

“Hey boys!” Mike and Tom greeted the twins as the bigger man lifted the two together and swung them in the air.

Jensen came back with the beers of Mike and Tom and a chocolate milkshake for Jared.

“Okay. You kids have fun. I gotta go now” Jensen declared getting ready to leave.

“Jenny wait” Jared called and pushed himself up from the couch. He waddled to Jensen to the door and gave a quick kiss goodbye, “Stay calm. And pay attention. Think about whatever he has to offer okay? Promise me you’ll do like I said?”

“Promise baby. Promise” Jensen promised. He bent down and placed a soft kiss on Jared’s baby bump, “I’ll see you soon kiddo. Till then don’t hurt Daddy okay? I Love you”

“You two may be wanna get a room?” Mike teased from the couch.

Both the boys blushed. “Boys, be good to Uncle Tommy and Uncle Mike and don’t disturb Daddy much okay?” Jensen hollered from the door.

“Okay Pa” the twins smiled.

“Bye” Jensen smiled and left with a final kiss to Jared.

“Bye Jenny” Jared smiled back.

Closing the door he waddled back to the couch and sat down beside Mike.

“What’s wrong Jay?” Mike asked, taking the sad look on his friend’s face.

“Nothing Mikey” Jared sighed and shifted to get comfortable.

“You need to lie down?” Mike asked concerned.

“No. I’m okay. Just tired.” Jared sighed and closed his eyes.

“Common kiddo. What’s eating ya up huh?” Mike asked in the brotherly voice, which he used only with Jared. For him Jared was more like his kid brother than his friend. Even the younger man regarded him like his big brother. Mike only let Jared call him ‘Mikey’. It made him feel closer to home and family. He loved the kid like his own brother and even gave Jensen the infamous brother talk of ‘you hurt him. I’ll kill you’ when they first started dating. Jensen jokingly called Mike his ‘adopted brother-in-law’.

The sniffs made Mike worry more.

“Hey kid? What is it? You in pain? What’s hurting?” he asked panicked. It was good that Tom had taken the kids and the dogs outside to play. They wouldn’t want to see their Daddy crying.

But Jared shook him head as more tears fell from his eyes.

“Jay?” Mike called softly, touching the younger man’s shoulder.

“I miss them Mikey. I miss them so much” Jared cried.

“Whom?” Mike asked softly.

“My family” Jared cried more, “I miss my momma and dad and Megs and Jeff and …everyone”.

“Awwwww kid, why don’t you give them a call and talk to them?” Mike suggested.

“No Mikey. I can’t. They’ll be sad to hear me cry and I can’t make them sad. Besides, they’ll here in a couple of weeks.” Jared tried to wipe his tears away.

“But Jay, you could just talk to them. You would feel better ya know.” Mike tried to reason.

But Jared was against it, “No Mikey. They have a life there. Each one of them. I can’t ask them to leave everything and come to hold my hands.”

Mike sighed. Kid had a point. “Don’t worry we are here. And we’ll here as long as you need, okay?”

Jared bit his lip and looked up. “You remind me so much of Jeff” he smiled through flooded eyes.

“And you remind me so much of my kid brother.” Mike smiled and pulled Jared for a one arm hug.

“Thank you Mikey, thank you so much” Jared smiled pulling back.

“Well that’s what friends are for right?” Mike smiled back, ruffling Jared’s soft hair.
