Question: When did being against ILLEGAL immigration automatically come to mean one is a racist? How did that even happen?

Fuck that noise.

Exactly! I totally feel for the guy or gal who just want's a better life, and see's that in coming to America. I work with and know many of these people. Our bakery is Polish, Brazilian, Russian and Californian. (I consider California it's own separate universe.) Our produce and hot foods departments have Mexican representation, and my second man in the meat dept. is a young kid who's from Bosnia. Great guy!

My problem with all this is the crime. Arizona has become a shooting gallery, a 21st century version of the wild west. This is what we have to stop at all costs. An Arizona vacation should not include a kidnapping or a gun fight.

The wild west had its good points. There was very little impoliteness or stupidity, it got weeded out very quickly. You never knew who was packing a .45 so you were nice to everyone.

I am of the opinion that we just give Texas back to Mexico and let the border states rule their own borders with minimal oversight.

All of that goes both ways though. There are many many people who respected the law and came here legally to do whatever they wanted to and are welcomed with open arms and minds. I think that the way we deal with people who come into this country illegally is far better than a lot of other countries in the world today
