Conrad, LilBit and I decided we'd like to add a kitty to the family. After consulting our lease, which stated all kitties must be neutered/spayed and declawed, and the internet, which said older cats do better with young kids than kittens do, we started hunting for just the right cat. We found her through a local rescue organization called PAWS

Oh, she's very pretty! As someone who works with rescue cats every week, I'm so happy you DID adopt an adult kitty who needed a home. There are always more cats than dogs out on the street and it's really hard to find them homes, especially once they're grown.

It's too bad more people don't consider adopting an adult cat. I couldn't be happier with our decision - Carmella is sweet and mellow and thoroughly litter-box trained.

Hehe, LilBit totally loves her to death. They're still negotiating their relationship, though - Carmella's still getting used to the idea of moving around when there's a little person on the loose.
