The Mercury effect continues

I sold the spare Nickelback ticket on eBay and dutifully popped it in the post on May 15th, recorded delivery. I email the buyer to let them know what I am doing and to tell them they will need to sign for the ticket when it arrives

Posties need shooting. For one thing, they are supposed to give the recipient a fortnight to collect the mail from the sorting office, not half an hour as they seem to have here.

There is a postie in our area who puts cards through the door telling us of a missed delivery but that we can't pick up for 48hrs. All the other parcel force guys have it back in the office within hours. I often wonder if our post is sat in the back of his van at his house for those missing days and whether that's legal.
