I quite like this so far. The opening is nice; it's almost whimsical, light, and it reminded me of Jane Austen - very nicely done. I'm also quite intrigued by this story; you have a compelling and engaging plot, and everything is really nicely written. I am anxious to read the rest of this piece. Keep up the great work. :D

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it. As this fic is about two years old, I fear my writing style has changed dramatically since then. If you read the rest of the story when it comes out, please tell me if you notice an inconsistency in the style. I have been told my writing is similar to Austen's, and while I can't say I see how, I take it as a compliment. Thanks again!

Wow, this actually had me hooked from the first sentence. You portrayed all the scenes and settings wonderfully, and you even managed to pull off introducing several characters in just one chapter without confusing the reader. I'm very eager to read more! :)
