01- Have I done this before?

Nov 06, 2008 05:36

This all feels like a really strange sense of Déjà vu.

One moment I’m sleeping, and the next thing I know I’m waking up in a world that is totally unfamiliar to me. I should be more surprised than I am, but I think I’ve gone through this before. Have I? I don’t remember anything beyond that dream, which didn't tell me much in the first place. I ( Read more... )

I spoke to him yesterday; he is at the medical island, it would seem, when he is not greeting people who have just been born.

I take it you are adjusting, then?

Yeah, I think I am. Not like I've done much though, like I said I have only been wandering around. Just trying to get a feel for this place, I guess.

How are you holding up?

Well, all things considered. I too have been doing some exploring.

I've only gone to the Marketplace so far. Don't think I'm done looking yet either, but I think I should look at some of the other islands.

Everyone here's forgotten a lot of things- it's natural to feel that way, I think. If you're lucky (or unlucky, depending on your point of view), maybe you can get some of your memories back.

The singing should only be temporary; things like that happen on occasion and end when the Sphere wants them to.

Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet; welcome to Edensphere, Prongs. I'm Spike.

Nice to meet you, Spike. So... the Sphere just randomly has its inhabitants do things like sing? Why and how?

Nice to meet you as well.

I'm not really sure why or how, but it's harmless, if pretty annoying. The day I was born, everyone had subtitles over their head that said what they were thinking, then soon after that, everyone's normal clothes were replaced. I ended up with a pink skirt and shirt one day... it was embarrassing.

That does sound weird. And annoying. Well, hopfully the singing will stop, I'm almost afraid of talking to people.

^_^ Hi, Prongs! I'm Brooklyn!

That's a pretty unusual name... how did you choose it?

I chose it based on my dream... For some reason, the name 'Prongs' stood out and it just felt right. I guess it's not a common name though.

It's nice to meet you, Brooklyn. (That sounds familiar too, now that I think about it... hm.)

Good to meet you, too.

I picked my name based on my dream, as well. I heard the word "bridge" a few times, so I named myself after the first bridge I could think of. I could've named myself Golden Gate or London or... Purple People Eater, too, I guess. ^_^

I feel like I should know those names too, why can't I?!

(ooc: crossed out, but can still be read)

Hmmm... Lezard. He's kind of hard to find unless he wants to be found.

Even still, welcome to the Sphere Prongs. I'm Lavender.

It's ok... I don't think I need to actually speak to Lezard. I think when I need to I'll find him.

And thanks, Lavendar. How long have you been here for?

rider_in_chains November 6 2008, 18:00:02 UTC
Six months or so. I spend a lot of time dwelling on how long I've been here.

...why would you want to find Lezard?

silver_antlers November 6 2008, 18:36:31 UTC
Well... I didn't say I did. He just was the first person I saw when I woke up, so I guess I expected to see more of him. Guess not...

He's just a pain in the ass, 's all. He's around and hard to miss, though; tends to get all noisy.

I don't think everyone would agree with you on that.
