While the sky may have looked grey and lifeless to some, it was ablaze with sutble colour, huge and just so different to another person.

Said other person - still as of yet unnamed, though some people had their own names for him, it was all but sure - had been walking through the City, but the walk was broken while he stopped and stared at things - buildings, the dirt, the way the dirt changed from dry, powdery and grey to wet, gloopy and brown when water hit it, tiny lichens on the walls - or even just feelings: the wind on his face, the chance to stretch his legs, the sweetness of fresh air ( ... )

Kino saw the older boy approach but didn't look at him too closely until she'd settled Hermes' properly, making sure he was properly cooling. When she did turn her attention to the newcomer, she blinked in surprise. He looked very much like pointy- Link had, but was definitely different. For one thing, his eyes were red and his hair black. For another, he looked ill. "Hello" She greeted him, bowing shortly with her hands still on Hermes' handlebars. "I'm Kino."

She didn't mention Hermes and for the moment, at least, the bike was silent. They'd learned to wait, at least until first impressions were made (most of the time) and this country they'd been 'rescued' to was especially strange.

The voice was not a male's voice, but when he looked at her, he supposed that he hadn't fully grown up yet, or something like that. It reminded him of when he was whole, and a child, and that his voice had been higher than he remembered it, when he fought with himself in the Water Temple. So he had met a young boy. The first since comming here? Yes, he thought so ( ... )

"Nice to meet you Here" Kino bobbed her head, smiling back in return. His smile wasn't very good, but it looked more like he'd hadn't any practice in a long time, instead of wanting to hurt her. She'd seen those smiles often enough to tell the difference. "Are you new to this country too, or do you live here?"

She needed directions, at some point. But questions and answers were good too, even if he looked a little confused. Riding was fun, but she really couldn't just play all day.

The summons had him doing a similar action as his counterpart had, hand going for a protective relic and finding none. The insistant buzzing on him was exceptionally horrifying, but only because he hadn't expected it. It felt like bugs were trying to crawl up his clothing, and having been in that situation before he knew he'd rather not repeat it ( ... )

After the young boy left, the nameless shadow (though called 'Here' by the boy - was that meant to be his name now) was left alone with the computer. It didn't make for a very good talking companion at the moment; it appeared to be waiting for someone to show up. His light-self, hopefully. He could feel a quivering all through his body, but it wasn't quite the same as when he had met the Hero of Time in the Water Temple. Excitement, probably. Not anything meaningful at all.

Footsteps, and then a voice voice - a voice so instantly familiar and yet so wonderfully strange - reached his ears. The reflected hero looked up, his hair falling into his eyes as he tried to see the newcomer. Already his heart was sinking in his chest in disappointment, for he would have known had this been himself. It was simply the man who looked like him. He had wanted to see him - talk, maybe, if he could - but he had been dragged away to some... thing that he hadn't had to go through ( ... )

Several seconds of silence stretched between them and Link... finally offered one hand, his right one, to this darker version of himself. "... Are you the Dark Hero?" They were nearly twins, but he was a bit more built, just an inch or two shorter a fact that chipped away at him immensely. Maybe he was from an alternate version of Hyrule? Another hero from another time?

His voice was rough, but it didn't stop him from feeling the sensation of someone half alive. A half soul. Maybe he wasn't another hero. As far as he was concerned, he didn't know Zant... a plus for sure. But the next would be a given.

"... Do you know Ganon?"

He glanced to uSUC, knowing now why he was likely summoned. To explain what this was. What he was. Maybe?

The shadow looked at the hand. What was a person meant to do with a hand when it was given like that? A part of him thought that it looked like there should be a sword in it, but then he recalled that that was only because he used his sword in his right hand. His light self... he used it in the left. Maybe he was meant to do the same? He raised his own hand and stuck it out, just not touching the other man's hand.

However, at the name, he stiffened. 'Ganon' - a short name for Ganondorf? Oh, he knew him. He was frightened of him. He had locked him in a room of water and had batted him away like nothing when he had tried to attack. He had ripped him away from himself and split him.

"Saw him." He said, his voice still rough and gravelly, though the long time after talking to Kino had taken off the strained quality to it.
