Who: Rufus. Potentially the Turks? Completely open. Where: Arcadia, Central City What: Under the cover of night, the vanguard arrives. Rating: To be advised! G for starters. Warnings: Nup.
A curious beep had brought him frm his half-doze he'd fallen into. Long days and much stress made for a sleepy Turk, but the sound was insistant. Sitting up, he peeked about for the electronic unit that he'd been given by uSUC. the faint light of it threw the shapes of his face into sharp contrast against the dark, but his expression was suddenly very awake and very urgently needing to be elsewhere.
There was a soft curse as he moved, automatic reaction to reach for his gun which wasn't there-- but that was ok, it was in storage or whatever, and he didn't need it anyway. Shinra, Rufus has been checked in through customs and has been informed you're searching for him. He is waiting for you by the fountain.A quick reply as he ran to uSUC's information asked which ship he was on, was he alright? his response was curious, uSUC being confused and claiming he didn't come on a ship-- But neither had Elena

Seated by the fountain, Rufus mechanically peeled the orange, consuming it wedge by wedge. It took the edge off his hunger - he'd travelled a while to get to the city, and he wondered if he should ask for another.
Footsteps made him look up, and suddenly there was a familiar face rushing towards him. His heart leapt for a single, confused moment, which made him frown to himself - he wasn't actually happy to see them. Quite the opposite. If not for them he might have been able to stay with Mother
( ... )
Situations as they were, he was certain Rufus would be business before familiarity, though it did concern him to see him act almost indifferently. The blood on his shirt took Tseng's attention from the initial question a moment, though he did answer automatically.
"...A planet names Arcadia, a city named Central." His eyes glanced from the blood on his shirt to his eyes. Rufus looked rough and his initial surprise turned to suspicion. "...What happened to you? Are you alright?" Damn, the only two people that had qualified enough knowledge to be doctors were the likes of those he'd rather not subject Rufus to.
"How did you get here...?" He was asking too many questions, most of them blurted on a moment's notice. Shaking his head to center himself he gestured toward the fountain. At least he could clean himself off with the water. Then they could gather the extent of his injuries. Tseng knew enough field medical skill to at least tide him over until he could be looked at.
"I'll ask uSUC for some bandages, are you in pain?"
No, he was the one supposed to be asking the questions here. "A planet. A planet that's not Gaia..." he looked around the city again, recalling Midgar, and the Edge. They had been slightly different from this place, it seemed. "What happened to Gaia?"
Gaia doesn't exist any more, Kadaj had whispered to him. Mother consumed the planet as she originally planned.
"Why are we here?"
They seemed like the right questions to ask, even if he knew the answer to the first, and didn't care about the answer to the second.
Cool aloofness, wasn't that what he was famous for? "I am ... unable to recall how I got here." When crafting a lie, the less detailed it was, the better. The less details you could trip up on.
Tseng's query about his wellbeing caught him by surprise, however. And the offer for bandages...
"I..." his hand found his injured shoulder. "That will not be necessary. I am well. My injuries have been tended to."
[OOC: for the sake of eyes, let us continue this here, shall we? *posts*]
Tseng watched Rufus for several moments, a pause between his answer and Rufus' response that Elena and Rude might find... odd. "... Forgive me for asking the obvious informative questions. If you weren't injured, post bleeding and looking worse for the wear, I'd still be inclined to ask the same. You're not acting yourself, sir. I would suggest, strongly, you rest for the evening." Clearly Rufus was not the only one whose patience was worn thin. Tseng turned his gaze from Rufus back to Rude, grateful for his solidarity the man offered. Though it was hard to reel in his annoyance
( ... )
The annoyence in Rufus' voice was palatable and made chocolate eyes blink twice in surprise. It was beyond odd that his Prince would be so vague concerning the mode of his arrival to this palce, and the thread of anger twining through that royal tone was utterly disparate with the banality of the words therein. When Tseng responded in kind, and further suggested that they split up, Rude had to resist scowling in ernest
( ... )
"I dislike--" the words were spoken through almost clenched teeth, "Being interrogated, and repeating myself. I've already told you: I don't know. I'm your employer, not your subordinate. And my mode of arrival on this place is hardly important, in the face of everything else!"
And the audacity of the Turk, turning his back on him, dismissing him out of hand? Certainly, Rufus didn't have his company any more, but he took it that the Turks were professional than that, that they owed their duty to the person not to the company and that they wouldn't dump him the moment he fell from power.
"You're dismissed for the night," he snapped out, turning on a heel himself, and heading towards the doors of the building.

Elena looked a little uncomfortable, shifting her weight from foot to foot in a slow, nervous method. It wasn't the idea of babysittingwatching the president for the night that was troublesome; as a Turk, it wouldn't be the first time she pulled the short straw from the pile on this particular duty. And it wasn't even Rufus' anger over it; even that was normal when he was pushed in that direction
( ... )
"Strange place. You'll have to tell me more about these people. Where on ... where are they from? It can't be Gaia."
Rufus watched her preparing to sweep the building, and wondered if she were being overly paranoid. This place felt safe to him, and if he hadn't known better, he would have felt like he was just heading home to a generic Shinra employee apartment to crash for the night
( ... )
Elena was caught between a rock and a hard place: Tseng's ability to let her go to sleep seemed so enticing, but she had a duty to her president, even if Rufus had nothing to be president over now (what a depressing thought). She looked between the three of them, Tseng, Rude, then Rufus, and settled on Rufus with a half smile
( ... )
Rude felt some manner of relief that Tseng seemed to take his words in stride, relaxing into a position that seemed far more familiar to the large man. Though Rude took Tseng's suggestion to relax and just trust everyone at face value, inly he reflected that some part of his psyche would not rest till he knew for sure that these people were his people. It'd only been mere minutes since Rude had thought himself all alone - relaxation and acceptance of what he'd been given hadn't yet set in
( ... )
Tseng deferred to heriarchy, letting go of Elena's arm and stepping aside. "Sine you and i are dismissed, I'll trust your judgement."
Nodding once to Rufus, he stepped aside and made his way down, past Rude. He was going to go to rest, though a watchful eye would still be kept. It did seem entirely convenient thety'd all shown up in the same area within the same 24 hour increment. Not to mention likely being very ver very far away from the planet of their birth.
Cards dealt as they were he'd do his best to make it as beneficial as he could. Not that he could really do anything in a leadersuip capacity over Rufus. He lead the Turks, but Rufus held the ultimate veto.
"Goodnight," his voice was soft, spoken only for Rude as he moved away from the man and into his own "private" quarters. Maybe uSUC could procure a strong vodka with that orange juice.
