I passed the written portion of my National Interpreter Certification test today!

This means I'm now eligible for my interview/performance portion, which is the big, scary part that I still have to schedule (possibly later this summer). All in all, I'm still proud of today, and want to bask in it for a bit before I worry too much about the rest.

I've planned a bit of a weekend off starting as soon as I get off work tonight. Granted, it IS a weekend long workshop, but I'll be staying in a hotel with friends, going out dancing tomorrow night (with one of my new favorite people, no less!), and out to dinner with my friend who is back visiting from Canada Sunday night. I've been doing a better balance lately - still working quite a bit, but spending more time with friends and family as well. I've been out to the bar and had friends over, (even went out to see Iron Man!), and got to visit with Jess and crew for Wed night fun! Shh, don't tell, but I have a full 36 hours off before I have to go back to work!

I figured out why I was a little cranky the other day when I realized that I've had four (4!) days off since mid Feb. Yeah - tomorrow is going to be very precious to me, even if I don't do anything special with it.
