No, No it's NOT all right.

I'm still alive, although my journal has been pretty dead. Once I got out of the habit of updating regularly it was hard to get back into the habit, that and Damage Control ended up supplanting my LJ when it came to blogging. Although those of you on Facebook and MyAnimeList know of some of my activities in minor detail. Anyway, here's yet another ( Read more... )

life, stress, fosterchild

Honestly after all this (and some other horror stories you've mentioned) I really don't know why your mom continues to bother with all this fosterchild nonsense. It seems more trouble than it's worth, I mean that can't be good for her or you health/stress wise to constantly have these types of confrontations. :(

I second this - time to call it a day me thinks.

Other than taking care of Antonio, it seems as if it'll finally be called a day. We don't seem to have any luck with foster kids.

She gave me her reasons, but I agree it's too much trouble. After this latest bout she's considering dropping out of foster care. We'll continue to take care of Antonio, making sure he doesn't get too comfortable and hope for the best.

Health is definitely another issue. That night of the fight her throat began to hurt, and she's been out of work for the last few days. I doubt it's a coincidence.

Thanks, it's nice to be back. Here's to hoping that I can update on a weekly basis at least.

But you're right, the drama it never ends.

I thought this would be a friends only post!

But yeah, every time I think the foster child situation in your house is going to get better, something like this comes up. I remember you saying your mother was doing it so she would have someone around the house, but as someone said above, this isn't good for her or your health.

It doesn't seem like it's going to end, though. So, uh, bring on the next child?

I thought so too, but then decided to change my mind. Oh well! Whatever happens, happens.

And sadly, its the same old story for many of them. Just check under the foster child tag, you'll see. And no, this constant stress isn't good for anyone.

Antonio's still here, but at this point I doubt there will be another one.

I hope for your sake that there isn't another one of them. Seems this happens a little too often. I'm guessing Antonio isn't as bad, though?

So far, the signs are pointing that way. The fact that this happens all the time has finally given my mother pause.

Antonio is okay, I just hope it stays that way. At the moment he's mostly focused on his school work (even doing his homework yesterday) that's gotta be a good sign!

*hugs* Hang in there.

16. He lived on his own in Honduras before coming here, so he considers himself an adult. He certainly does have a problem with authority, even calling his teacher a liar at one point.

*Hugs.* Thanks, I'll try.
