Almost two for two with electronics

As of lately I've not had much luck with my electronics; not the small items but the larger ticket items. The first to go was my computer and it wasn't a complete surprise because of the trouble I've been having with it for several weeks. The HDTV I went half and half on with my mother is a different story. The TV isn't dead per se, but I'm ( Read more... )

It sounds like you have my curse from last year. I'm sorry if it was contagious. :(

But yeah, playing without an HD image on some of the later FFXIII chapters is going to be a bummer. Man, the scenery in some of these chapters...just gorgeous. Unless you want to buy an emergency HDMI cable, but those could cost quite a bit.

It looks like my TV isn't shot after all. It's just being stupid.

I did get the HDMI cable that night and thanks to it, was inspired to mess with the settings. Component mode is good again, but I am waiting for a longer HDMI cable in the mail. Playing FFXIII on a standard TV isn't the same. XD

I still await your screen to show "What a horrible night to have a curse", then prompt the Simon's Quest music. I don't know what to do if anything like that happened to my computer. I already get paranoid about my PS2 dying on me. I don't know how people manage to replace the laser to read the disks. At any rate, no Final Fantasy game will wreck my stuff, I don't own any. I may get back at FFT someday, but no stores where I live sell oldies

Hah, that would be amusing for all the wrong reasons. XD

I did discover that the settings on my TV were fixable, so the Final Fantasy curse may not be a factor. Still, it is upsetting when your stuff breaks and you can't do much about it. Hopefully your PS2 will last, but they are pretty cheap nowadays. I actually still have my phat version from seven or eight years ago.
