For Christmas of either 2005 or 2006 I received a new pair of work boots. Today I finally replaced them. Call it being extremely frugal or just lazy but I've never been the type to replace an item unless it really needed to go. (Video game consoles and handhelds might be the only exception I've made.) Wow, I'm exactly the same as you!! My footwear is pretty shabby, but not quite bad enough to throw away - and my best shoes/boots are all pushing 5 years old and I'm not sure how long they'll last.

It may be a mistake to hang on to them as long as I do, but nothing frustrates me more than buying a cheap pair of shoes just to find out their cheapness wears them out after just a few months...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this!

If you paid money for something why toss it before you get your full use out of it? ;) If the shoes are too cheap and only last for a few months it's definitely worth it to spend a little more on a pair that'll last a few years. I'm not sure about this brand I got but I hope I'll get a few years out of these boots. ^_^
