Oooooh. Ooooh, so - creepy and sexy and lush, and I loved seeing it all through Katy's POV. And just fantastically well-written, which I always expect from you. Loved this.

Also, sorry it took me so long to friend you back! Grad school kept me far, far from Ye Olde El Jay.

I didn't expect to like Katy's pov as much as I did, but it felt perfect for the story. The time-period and setting created a feeling of claustrophobic opulence, with just the right amount of eeriness - loved it! ...and that goes for the sequel as well :D

Oooh, this is great, bb! It is refreshingly different. I was surprised when I realized who was speaking (Katy), but it added SO MUCH nuance and personality to the story. You have a real gift for creating a mood and atmosphere in your stories. I wish I could pinpoint how you make that happen. Just reading a few paragraphs and I can feel myself in that place. Katy is the naive and sheltered, judgmental 'good girl'. Matt is awesome and Adam is mystical and spectacular! And Kristopher, well... Kristopher is a moth to the flame. *Applause*

In my mind, Adam totally had a thing with Julien Mayfair. (Only in my mind, because Anne Rice likes fanfic the way Neil likes getting groped by Glamberts.)

I know, right? I used to read all this Vampire Chronicles fanfiction, and then Ms. Rice like, waved her arm, and it all went away. :(

I think it's kind of silly, tbh. Once you create a character, it's not yours anymore. You put it on paper and you set it free.
