I never had it as a child, even though my parents tried really hard to infect me by bringing sick kids over to play. I didn't even catch it when my eldest brother did. My next-eldest brother has never had it either. It was highly suggested that I get the vaccine, but I figured it wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, the bf had shingles, which causes chickenpox in people who are not immune. Lucky me. Sucks is an understatement, considering it is physically impossible for me to sleep.
I had it when I was little. I remember my mother took my pink powder puff and filled it with cornstarch so that I could puff myself when I was itchy (on top of the calamine). My brother and sister caught it from me and it was kinda cute listening to my brother when he had just learned to talk saying, "Corndarch!" when he was itchy and he giggled when my mom puffed him all over. I also had it right after Christmas so I had lots to keep me occupied.

By the way, how did you get chickenpox? I thought everyone had it when they were little or got the vaccine. Either way, I'm sure it sucks.
