God, what a funny community. Those wannabe eighties outfits with the cut-off tights, denim mini-skirts (which I never saw anyone wear back in the eighties), the baggy tops and sparkly pumps are the universal uniform of half the kids about town this summer. If I'm going for the cut-off tights, I have to do it in such a way that I don't look too much like them.

Also, I have a dress not dissimilar to the one that the tall girl is wearing. It's one I had made in Bangladesh, but it's in a bonkers orange, 1970's caravan curtain style, flowery fabric, which makes it far too 'odd' to be trailer trash.

I can feel a trip to my local charity shop coming on.

Party theme is 'sleazy/ trashy' so I ought to make an effort in that direction. I've found an old stretchy, halterneck dress that was long enough to make it respectable back when I used to wear it. If I fold it up obscenely short, wear high heals and trashy jewelry, I think that should look cheap enough. 'fraid I don't know 'the craft' and can find no images from it other than the girls; but ta for the suggestion.
