Lost premiere

Loved, loved, loved the premiere. It was everything I was hoping for and more. There were spots where I was literally yelling at the screen (much to my parents annoyance*). I had a few utterly insignicant thoughts and I thought I'd share, since my one Lostie friend around here fell asleep while watching it. She had a good excuse, but still!

Desmond on the plane. Desmond was on the plane! I don't know why, but I was really excited about that. He was on the plane! No Penny, though, which I find highly suspicious.

Everything on the plane. Loved it. All of it, especially Hurley and Sawyer. I hope that Hurley is telling the truth and he really is the luckiest dude in the world in this timeline. Stay away from Sawyer, alternate Hurley! That cute, charming smile is all a lie!

Jack is not a very good doctor. Fortunately for him, his patients almost always miraculously pop back to life. I'm no doctor, but I've taken a basic CPR course and I know that the first thing you do is check the airway. I seem to recall my sister saying something about the ABCs of trauma, but since I am not a doctor and I don't remember what it means, I will assume that it stands for Always Be Checkin' that airway.

Alternate reality Locke really ought to be a therapist. He always knows just what to say to make someone feel better, and hey! he's already sitting down. Ninety-nine percent of therapy is just being able to sit for long periods at a time.

Random things on Lost island. Juliet. D: D: D: Really looking forward to Sun and Jin reuniting. It'll be like Desmond and Penny only asian. For some reason, I think it's adorable that Miles still calls Sawyer 'Boss.' Temple!!! Dunno what's going on with Sayid, but that whole drowing thing was creepy. Oh, and for once Jack's magic CPR skills failed. Awfully hard to call the time of death with that hourglass, though.

Kate. OK, so Sawyer blames Jack for Juliet's death, I'll buy that, especially given their interactions in the past. It's not going to take much for Sawyer to blame Jack for anything. But isn't it actually KATE'S fault? Her reappearance and subsequent mooning over Sawyer is what convinced Juliet to go with Jack's plan.

Which leads me to my next point: Please, for the love of all mankind, just stop, Kate. Just stop. Everyone's fine until Kate decides she likes someone, then all hell break's loose. And she never, ever lets them go, just in case she needs someone to run back to when it's time to ditch the next guy. Kate, please stop breaking hearts. There are only so many hunky men on Lost island and at this rate, you are going to ruin them all.

And that's all I can think of for now. It's weird that I seem to be more interested in the stuff that's off-island at the moment.

*My parents' contributions usually consist of "Who's that? I thought he/she was dead." Every. Episode.
