As one of my birthday presents, Paul got me cake decorating class... which has made me want to run a bakery for a living. Boo for this economy; that's not going to happen any time soon, but here's the two cakes I've made so far.

:) Thank you! Come to CA and I will make you a cake.

For my next upcoming bday cake, I'm trying to decide between the actual Portal birthday cake or a companion cube cake. Hmmmm.

XD Oh man, those look DELICIOUS. I bet you'd enjoy the show Ace of Cakes - Duff makes amazingly awesome cakes and he never fails to entertain.

I'd order a Persona-themed cake (harr, I'se a nerd), but I don't think I can afford anything like that right now.

Heh, they weren't extravagant flavors: yellow cake with vanilla frosting. I'm thinking for my next one, I might do chocolate cake to mix it up, but the standard frosting we're supposed to use is always vanilla, soo I wonder if that'll be okay.

HA, Ace of Cakes! That's awesome because I'm watching it right now and their doing not only a big Lebowski cake, but a Star Wars cake! And I'm having a nerd attack of joy, hehe.

Oooh! A persona cake.. how would you design it? Are you thinking one of the cards, or the characters?

Hey, starting with the basics is excellent. I can't bake a cake except out of a box!

heehee, Ace of Cakes is pretty entertaining to watch every now and then. I still can't get over their Harry Potter cake.

If I had access to fondant, I'd make a cake themed around the design of the P3 tarot cards, and then maybe have the main character standing on the top tier with a few of the cards in his hands or something. I dunno. XD

I bet you can bake out of a box- its just a matter of measuring out the dry ingredients.

I definitely think I could do the tarot cards. I'd probably want to find a figurine of the main character because I know at least at this point, I could not sculpt him- he'd be a blob, hehehe. Come to CA please so I can have someone to appreciate this cake! Although I wonder how well it could be mailed, hmmmmmm.

That is the coolest idea for a birthday present ever. And it looks like you're having fun with it! That's awesome. :)

:) Thanks! It is pretty rewarding when I finish, but I need more people around to eat my cakes when I'm finished, hehe.
