i've obviously have seen a crap load of movies since my last review post, but here are the most recent ones i've seen. not that anyone asks me, but feel free to ask how i feel about any other movie and i'll give u an official rating. i came up with the rating system when i thought i'd b doing movie reviews for the tv show in my class. oh well.
the libertine - i cant really give an accurate review of this film due to my falling asleep in the middle of it. to say the least, it was quite dry and i'm willing to try to watch it again with a cup of coffee or energy drink of some kind. however, the carriage scene in the beginning wasnt too bad. my rating: catch it on hbo when there is nothing else on.
american dreamz - great satire. a nice pg-13 pagackaged along with "thank you for smoking" which is also really really good. anyway, i recommend checking this one out because if u've been living in america for the past 5-6 years, you'd get the joke on the show, the host, the contestants, and the president. great ending too. my rating: rent this and watch alone, with friends, at a party... jus enjoy it.
art school confidential - definately a movie for indie fans, and ppl who have or r still in art schools. i consider purchase college an art school, s it qualifies, and i definately get the jokes. highly recommended to artists and arty ppl (like myself) who would definately get a kick out of this. but its not a movie for anyone and everyone, but u never know. good story and an unexpected ending. my rating: for selected audiences, rent and possible buy for some, others, catch it on hbo or miss it altogether.
over the hedge - better than what i expected. i got some good laughs out of this one and its yet anoter kid flick that i dont mind watching with an only adult crowd. all the stars shined as well as the story itself. my rating: makes the list to eventally own, but rent first.
click - i was a bit skeptical, and sometimes i have to b when approaching an adam sandler flick. i like the guy but i dont always enjoy all of his movies. this one surprised me because it ended up being very touching with a lot of heart in telling a big message. the laughs were definately there, and for being a movie about family, it isnt really a great pick for a family movie night with young kiddies unless u dont mind them swearing a bit. overall, highly entertaining. my rating: possible buy on the owning list, but definately check it out.
