Summer

Ok so here goes. I have more frustration right now that I need and to top it off it's summer. Now I know that the rest of the population finds summer relaxing or fun or whatever but I find it difficult on my psyche. Every summer since I was five I have had more time to think than was good for me. I would sit and think of everything that was wrong ( Read more... )

Hey, hang in there, I think we all feel like that from time to time. I put up a similiar post a few weeks back. We all get feelings of inferiority from time to time, that we're not good enough or we are total fuck-ups, or whatever, the trick is not to let them weigh you down. Amen to everything Limiter said.

Martial arts are good; or anything physical that you actually LIKE and want to do several times a week is good. Do you like rollerblading or swimming or hiking? Both these things let you be outside, and are fun.

Meditation is good, too. It really helps shut down the annoying commentator inside your head, including the commentator that is aware of being the commentator, and the commentator that must comment on the commentary, and... :-), and concentrate on the rest of your life (personal experience here) Try it for 10-20 minutes a day for a few months, see if it doesn't make a difference.

There is also the art of saying "Fuck it!", and you WILL learn it! :-)

Just be kind to yourself as you would to a friend. Take care!
