Big research paper due this week. Help me choose my topic:

1.) Small Pox in during the mid 1600s in England

OR

2.) Syphilis in Italy during the 1500s.

Small pox, we've been talking about small pox in the new world lately so I've got small pox on the brain. It really is interesting.

Dress and disease!

Syphilis lends itself to the possibility of discussing the development of the codpiece, which has been debated to have developed in the shape that it did in part because of effects of the disease on the genitalia and certain treatments for it. But as far as i know, no one knows for certain. Plus syphilis is interesting because it can make people crazy and certain creative people and nutjobs thru history have been said to have suffered from it.
