Good for you Rachel! They not only can earn great money but they really do help out in such a good way!

My mom knows many who work in the hospital (obviously not in the vetinary field) and they are some of the greatest most industrious people around.

Kudos and good luck!

Rachel... I'm happy that you've made a decision, but do you realize what you're saying?

"I have chosen this to be my life's goal because it's easier to achieve than what I really want to do, and it pays more."

I know you run on logic, and this choice might offer you a more "secure" future, but do you really want to take x-rays and walk them back to doctors for the rest of your life? I mean, really?

Isn't something that you really want to do more worth it, even if it pays less? I mean, I've wanted to be a cartoonist since junior high, and my dream has never been stronger. I realize that I'll be poor, and that I may never become famous... but persuing my dream is worth it, and money isn't everything.

I'm not trying to change your mind... but I beg you to think about it some more.

Well, money isnt everything, but it's a pretty big part of life. And although I may not be able to realize my dream career goal, I will, with this job, be able to realize my dreams of travel, equine ownership, independence, and level of cushy, comfortable living I want to achive as an "adult". I'd rather go to work and be somewhat happy with my job than be happy with my job and stressed about bills, shitty cars and putting food on the table. I'd like to be able to splooge my money a bit and not have to sacrifice my dinner for it.
