How do I learn? And how did I learn to learn?

conditioning or manipulation iluvnoah May 6 2005, 21:01:31 UTC
Is it condtioning or manipulation that causes a baby to cry when they want to be held. Some say that babies learn to manipulate at a very early stage in life. When their hungry and umcomfortable it can be conditioning but when it comes to getting something they want I think they can be condioned to being manipululative.

You have a very goodpoint. I think that in the case with the baby and the parent, the baby is completely manipulating the parent into doing anything it wants. Manipulation and conditioning are very closely related, but not in all cases. Also, I don't think that babies intentionally manipulate because that has such a negative conotation. They find a way to get the basic things for survival and use it.

Hard Scientist's Belief mecheatgood May 18 2005, 16:58:50 UTC
First thing I remember was myself being placed in a special advance program called GATE during grade school. GATE stands for Gifted And Talented Education. Mike spoke about it before. Your test suffices.

Where did you get that hard scientist believe that learning is the brain's ability? Michael already gave the answer to us what learning is. Or at least what a smart person can do, adapt.
