More srs bizness.

I've been taking feedback from our players regarding the way this game is being run, and how to improve on it. I thought I'd share several plans that are on the drawing board right now. I welcome all feedback and comments.

1. The removal of time-stamping.
The day system, originally meant to keep everyone on roughly the same page at the same time, has become more than a bit of a hindrance. As a result, one proposal is that we're going to do away with it. We'll have a rough calender for major events, but the game will otherwise run in more-or-less real time. You don't have to wait for day rollovers, and if there's conflict in timelining, well, we'll work that out as we go along.

2. Plot streamining
Hand in hand with that, we're going to have to make the plot less structured. We're keeping the plot as it is at present - Starscream still running around creating havoc, and Jenova mommy lurking in the background. uSUC will be up, but rules of engagement have changed - uSUC isn't going to dispense anything freely any more, it's going to demand tribute before people can get anything from it. Tribute will likely require some kind of foraging or service rendered.

Otherwise, we're going to put up maps of Central, and Bastion, and from Bastion to other cities as they get discovered. Characters are encouraged to start thinking about settling down and making some sort of home out of Arcadia.

Central will largely remain as the battlezone - with Starscream and the monsters, and the starting point for new players. Action based players can focus their efforts there. Bastion, etc, will be under Jenova control, and relatively more peaceful, if somewhat run down. Descriptions will be up later.

3. Recruitment and advertising
We're going to conduct large scale advertising for this RP to bring in new people. I really need help with this one, so if anyone doesn't mind sending out ads to communities that they're in, please drop me a note?

If there are no major objections, these changes will be implemented next week. Stay tuned.
