I had a panic attack today at work. Been a while since I've had one of those, and oh boy oberto it hurt like a bitch. The shallow breathing, uncontrollable shaking, loss of equilibrium, very sharp chest pains, and muscle fatigue. Yea. I even collapsed. Got right back up and went straight to work again. Have you talked to a doctor about this?
I am almost positive there is medicine for that sort of thing, if not you could try doing yoga or just breathing exercises. I know it sounds lame, but it might help.

A panic attack isn't a physical problem. It's psychosomatic. Basically, your mind goes through something overwhelming and causes your body to react accordingly. Usually caused from a stressful environment to the point where you can no longer keep up or react with the stimuli around you. There are medicines that relaese certain hormones to help this, but I really don't like the idea of outside chemicals messing with my insides. And I know what's causing it so I don't need to talk to a shrink either. That and I already know I'm crazy!

I still think you should look into breathing exercises, I have some papers somewhere that have some great ones on it, they really helped me with my stress.
