Inspiration comes in the wee hours, between the couch and bed

I cannot bear you leaving
again; although the original
sin is not yours, I harbor
the seed jealously.

I anticipate dotting i's
and crossing t's
before the curves of s's
can be seen.

You react to my non-action;
I'm left docile, doomed
in light of your innocence.

second stanza is the magic of words

last stanza, the frustration and inability to find the right words though the expressions are complete in the mind (You=words personified)
