Right - read this article. The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act is actually one of the biggest pieces of bullshit legislation in recent history and was pretty much crafted by Phillip Morris to drive its competition out of business and make them look less bad while still not actually hurting real sales.
I don't even smoke anymore but this make me mad as hell. Control the mass for the potential benefit of a few. All this does is confirm that even with all the laws created to keep cigarettes out of the hands of kids they fail at controlling the sale of it. Then define who can legally smoke - in NJ you can be charged as an adult for a crime as young as 15, found guilty, then sent to prison for the rest of your life, yet you can't buy smokes until you are 19; there is something wrong here. If i recall correctly there is no state law banning persons under 19 from possessing or using tobacco products; thus if you obtain it - it's free ground to use it. If an adult wants to smoke grape flavored smokes they should have the right to. I'm just glad that i can still rant about this if i want to, hopefully we won't lose that!
