It's been an incredibly long time since I posted anything on my LJ, and probably would have been an even longer time since I would have kicked my own butt to actually post (without the intervention of lovely Jennie *thanx*), so here goes

i miss you too! but just think, if we get accepted, we'll have an easier time visiting (at least i hope so)!

We miss you! I think it would be great if you both are accepted at Cornell and moved back to the states - I know the whole process is a drag - but it's really only about a six or seven (?) hour drive and we could all see each other! That would be wonderful! (And, as you might or might not remember, I have family in the area so I could possibly come over and visit sometimes.) Are you going to get to see your Mom while she's in France?

I miss you too! I know the whole process of moving back would be a drag, but besides that, I'm not too sure that I'm ready to be living in the States again. Especially with tuition fees skyrocketing, and health costs increasing and everything like that - I'm just flat out scared!

Of course, it would be nice to be able to see all of you much more easily..... :-) I guess that's the other side of the coin, no?

I'm not sure if I'll get see mom while she's in France because we need to save as much as we can for the visa thing (not that we seem to have any left over after paying bills and stuff...) Though I hope she'll get to see me somehow or another!

Bellydancing, and wishing

What are you talking about? Belly Dancing classes are available in Michigan! In Ann Arbor, I know they have them, probably in any college town, and I know many friends who bellydance. So there are ways.

I love that you want to go to Japan! I went to China and loved it, though I wonder if I'll ever go back. I'm feeling a bit wistful right now about all the friends I made overseas. It was such a temporary thing. I'm also wistful about the shows I see. I had several opportunities to join in the media business, like making shows, and I didn't want to. But anytime I see a finished movie with a wonderful cast of characters, story, and score, I remember why I wanted to get into that in the first place. Sigh.

But I'm going the route of editing books instead. Hopefully that will move into children's books, and someday I'd love to be involved with making shows for children. I'm a kid at heart, and a teacher too, so I think that route wouldn't be totally unheard of.
