SSSHHHHAAAAAUUUUNNNNAAAAAAAA. I'm sorry. It is very angsty and then like schmoopy. I tried, I tried so hard to not let it be like cavity inducing at the end, but maybe the rest of it just needed this counter-point.
Thank you! I really didn't want to mention either word and just let people figure out what was going on slowly throughout the scene.
Hahaha, thank you so much! I LOVELOVELOVE Blaintana friendship, and from the promo, it seems like it's going to be canon which greatly excites me!!! Glad you enjoyed it so much. Thank you.
Awww. I love, love, love Teenage Dream references too, clearly, but I think it worked. I think Blaine recognizes it as the song that brought them together even if he doesn't realize that it basically made Kurt fall head over heels in love with him right after they met and that Blaine basically eyefucked him the entire time. I know it's kind of a cheesy song and very, very mainstream or whatever, but some of the lines really, really work for them so those are the ones I tried to incorporate.
oh geez, I hope you didn't get the idea that I found it cheesy or silly or whatever, because I think it worked perfectly as well! It's suitable, and like... used in a way that isn't obnoxious or feels like you used it just for the sake of using it. It feels good. (It has just the right amount of cheesiness in this scenario that really works with... Well, Blaine's general amount of cheesiness, ahaha.)
Oh, no, that's not what I thought at all. Thank you though. I just mean that the song, in general, is rather cheesy, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it in terms of Klaine and the Warbler version and blah de blah.
I'm glad you enjoyed how it was used because it wasn't just a random thing thrown in, each time I used it, I tried to make it mean something for the story and not just having Blaine singing Katy Perry tunes randomly. :D Also, I think that song does work well with Blaine's general amount of cheesiness :D:D
Never worry for me. I have only ever written one sad ending for these two and I don't foresee that changing anytime soon. I love them to much to keep them apart.
I'm so, so happy you enjoyed this and that you got through all the angst!
