Cell Phone Nation

I don't own a cell phone. This will come as no surprise to anyone that has known me, but I feel it needs stating anyway. There is something really obnoxious about them and the culture they encourage. One of my co-workers gets extremely irritated when people on our staff use them on their breaks in the break room. I can see where he's coming ( Read more... )

It's pretty sick, but I have heard so many women answer their cell phones in public restrooms that it has made me want to projectile vomit under the stall onto their unsuspecting feet.

ick. some of what I said was prompted by a number of women at my work using their cell phones in the restroom, apparently. I haven't really witnessed this in men. I think I've seen a couple of guys drunkenly yelling into their device at shows in bathrooms before, but otherwise, I guess this behavior seems mostly female-oriented. I don't really like to call out one gender or the other generally, though.
