This will be a short-ish post, even though I have many emotions and words on the subject.

For starters, the car is in the shop right now, getting fixed from some oil/coolant problem that is apparently a problem with all 2002 Chevy Malibus.  It has something to do with the oil and coolant leaking into each other, thereby ruining the engine.  However

I understand. Things break when we're least ready for it--we noticed some water backing up in our driveway. It started to smell, so we called roto-rooter. $124 later, they tell us that part of the pipe to the street has collasped and we now need probably $1000 worth of drilling, replacement piping, and patching done by a plumber ASAP...yeah.

I feel your pain, hon. I hope you can get the car back on Friday.
