Well, some of my effort in sending out resumes has paid off. I answered a blind ad in the Advocate a little while back, and I finally got a response from it. At least I think I figured out which ad it's from...the most recent time I replied to the Advocate was back in late December, and they're just now getting back to me!

So yeah, the timing IS kind of sucky. But at least you know that if nothing happens with Daum you have a back-up. Maybe that will take some of the nerves off, anyway.
And, of course, I am dancing in my chair b/c this is a job in the area! I want you to stay around! And that's not even getting into the whole subject of Jaron and Chad's separation anxiety :)
This brings up another subject, that being that I DO NOT SEE YOU ENOUGH. You are like the only friend that I can be truly silly around and I think I may soon start withdrawal spasms. I know we're going to see each other for Dave's Chicago trip but after that we are back to making the effort ourselves, lol. I promise I will be better about it.
Also, please check your e-mail, b/c I'm going to forward something to you that you might be interested in. Un-job related. More fun-related.

Hopefully I WILL get one of these jobs and my work schedule will allow for an easier social life (read: a social life that actually exists). It's difficult right now because work exhausts me so much physically that I never have the energy to do anything when I'm done. Office work is the opposite--I want to move around when I leave.
I like that even though we're not involved in each others' daily lives anymore, we can always just explain what's going on and pick up where we left off. You're one of the people I think of as an eternal best friend, even if we don't talk as much as we should.
But I still want to see you more often!!
