She’d grabbed him by the collar of his threadbare but oversized clothes, fingers twisting into his too-long hair as she’d dragged him to eye level.

“Not worth half as much as the rabbit or fox this should’ve caught if I can’t sell you,” she’d growled, voice low and heavy with her accent. He’d stared back terrified at the wrinkles and scars on ( Read more... )

I have never read D. Gray-Man, so I am horribly, horribly confused, but your writing was gorgeous enough to carry me through the story, anyway.

That is a seriously awesome, awesome thing to hear (read?) =DD *flails around happily in sleep-deprived circles~~*

Most of the finer points of the characters' backgrounds in DGM haven't been revealed in canon yet either, so a good part of it was me making stuff up before I get AU'ed ^^;; On the off chance you feel like reading it one day and would rather not get spoilered, I will shut up now and continue flailing quietly in my corner here while people look at me funny <33

That was lovely. Very insightful. Love the running theme of "rabbit" and how it finally tied into the ending. ♥

Beautiful and poignant. I love loose ends (and I love it even more when writers write sequels to tie them up *nudge*)

The rabbit memory was incredibly feasible, despite the situation. And the pieces of shared memories were a great detail to include.

I am in love with the part when it's mentioned that Kanda took that blow for him. I wonder how many times that happens and other people doesn't realize just because Kanda doesn't keel over and dies.

How you played with the near-death scenario and then the cursed (blessed are the living..? genious touch) healing ability of Kanda. This happened before Allen's appearance in the Order, deshou? Surely almost 1 year before.

I love the detail of Linali waiting and not asking. Because I've always assumed that only Komui knows the lotus secret, but of course, of course that Kanda's teammates and Linali suspect about it! Now in your storyline, Lavi's gotten a glimpse of it too.

I hope you can work a continuation for this, although it's fantastic just like this, too. Thanks for the great story.

Wow~~<33 *squees and runs around making happy gibbering noises!! =DD* (and the image of Kanda keeling over then popping up again looking all annoyed while a group of people cower around looking terrified as someone else scolds him for being too overdramatic while making his point really shouldn't be this amusing ^^;; Maybe I need more sleep o.0 ( ... )
