I generally take the Daily Mail with a grain of salt, so I have no idea how much truth there is to this, but still...this is just unbelievable. I found this awhile ago, but while reading something else, I found it again and remembered I wanted to post it.

Your first time seeing this? It is a rather peculiar phenomenon, but as much as the songs goes "it's a small world after all", there's still plenty of space on Earth for all kinds of people in the end. I've seen everything from paper maché heads, to clever use of make up, to actual plastic surgery, all in the name of looking more like an anime character. It is probably not helped by the fact that large eyes are seen as very beautiful in east Asia.

Not that I can recall. I mean, make up and paper maché, all that is okay and doable, at least in some instances. That stuff can be taken off. However, I've never seen it taken to this far before. She really doesn't look like she's alive, it's like she's wearing a mask or she's a doll. She also looks unhealthily thin, too. And to consider surgery? To look like an animated character? That's disturbing. At least to me.

Part of me hoped that this might be fake or just a really scary looking cosplay, but you're saying this girl isn't alone? I think I feel more disturbed. O_O
