The Legacy of ROTJ

Star Wars if first and foremost a story about a family. If they're going to continue the saga, rather than just start something new in the same universe, they have to keep the focus on that family. That's sort of part and parcel what makes it a saga*.

*) At least the English usage of it, which is limited to the old times family sagas of the Norse times. In modern Swedish, saga basically mean fairytale. Just adding an unnecessary disclaimer, don't mind me, hum-de-dum.

Exactly! I see some people saying that they rather have new people as the stars, not anyone from the Skywalker or Solo family line. But if they want that, then why not make a whole new saga? Why label it Episode 9 of the Skywalker Saga? Does not compute!

(And this is likely one of the reasons I'm none too thrilled with John Boyega; I'm hoping for a son of each line as members of the trio (Luke's son and Han and Leia's son) while everyone else's is going gaga over Boyega and Daisy Ridley (who people are hoping will be Jaina Solo 2.0, and that's my worst nightmere)...Gah!!).
