I don't normally talk about things as controversial as this, but I feel like I have alot to say about the North & South Korean tension this time round.

So, if you haven't already known, a series of artillery attacks has sparked off between the 2 borders again just a few hours ago. Apparently, North Korea has opened fire first, to which South Korea responded, obviously, by reciprocating it with more fire. 14 soldiers in S.Korea have been wounded, and 1 of them has died. It has been speculated by many netizens that this round of attack is reflective of Kim Jong II's son beginning to take the reins of the nation. Historically, the new successor of their government would be heralded by "a series of aggressive acts intended to strengthen the new leader's relationship to the army".

Does that even make sense? I don't think it does. I wonder if he has even considered how exhausted the majority of his soldiers might be feeling, fighting and going against the rest of the world time & again when he has never even considered their well-being? Oh sorry, I apologise, he obviously doesn't. How could I have expected him to have a slightest tinge of humanity common sense? My bad.

How on earth can someone like this be called a national leader? A leader is someone who brings his people to greater heights, not someone who brings his own people to hell and back, through it over and over again. I beg for justice to be done, for people trapped in North Korea under his reign to receive aid and be freed from all that torture. It is not fair that millions of people are suffering under the wrong-doings and lack of straightened thinking of a bunch of people who have proved themselves to be downright idiots.

I wonder if he cries. Does he cry when a nuclear bomb is successfully created? Does he cry when his own family members experience pain? Or does he cry with tears of happiness when he threatens people with all that nuclear molecules he has happily toyed with?

That said, it has also been speculated that this may be a reflection of a prophecy set by Baba Vanga, a lady who has been believed to possess supernatural powers. It has been claimed that she has accurately predicted a series of events that has actually happened, including details linked to the September 11 attacks, as well as the sinking of a Russian submarine years ago. I do not deny that she looks like a lovely lady who has done many amazing things while she was alive, faithful and helpful and kind in every way possible, but I do not know if the prophecies told are beneficial for our own good.

You can read it from here --> http://www.alamongordo.com/baba_vanga_prophecies.html

She has predicted that nuclear weaponry will occur in November 2010, and that the World War III will start in early november 2010 and last all the way until October 2014. This is merely a speculation, and it leaves people to their own opinion as to believe or what.

If you look at the rest of her prophecies, you might feel the same way I did - uncomfortable, and slightly disturbed by the general issue of even setting prophecies. Whenever prophecies are set, there's a high likelihood that the prophecy really will come true because of something called a self-fulfilling prophecy.

For people who don't know what that is, according to wikipedia, it is "a prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true, by the very terms of the prophecy itself, due to positive feedback between belief and behaviour.

"New research from the American Psychological Society shows that group expectations predict events more accurately than individual expectations."

Which is why I think negative prophecies should avoid being casted, especially if no solutions are provided alongside it. You see, human psychological works in a way that if you believe something bad it going to happen, you worry and frustrate so much over it that you do things warily, as if you are expecting it to occur just about any time, that ultimately, your own behaviours set the conditions for the exact situation to play itself out just like the prophecy predicted. We humans should stop being so tough & pretend that we are not going to be affected by this.

For instance, (to be safe, I will not mention countries) it has been prophesied that a certain religion/country will take over another entire continent in the future. Tell me, how is this prophecy going to end up being "accurately predicted"? People from that particular region will think that since they are destined to end up like this, they could take on any kind of risks currently to work towards that goal. Which means that things like war, unsettlement between countries between now & then would occur to allow them to achieve that. The prophecy motivates them, to be ruthless and even undaunted in pursuing it that ultimately, they really end up being able to take over that continent. It also spiraled from the motivation provided by the prophecy.

So how exactly does a prophecy work?

Then again, I do not rule out the possibility of it occuring due to many other factors, for instance assault to the entire continent by a completely unrelated third party, and has received aid from that certain 2nd party who ultimately takes over them. Also, it could be due to other random issues (who knows!) like digging out an Egyptian scroll from centuries ago that dictates that the piece of land actually belongs to that 2nd party.

I don't know why I'm saying so much, but this has made me feel so sad about evil people in this world, people who celebrate and get orgasmic joy (I suppose), indulging themselves in the misery of other people. This is the same with terrorists.

Doesn't it pain you if you see your own family members getting hurt ? Then why do the same to other people? If you're going to do it to someone, someday someone else will come back & do it to you, or the people dearest to you.

World peace, anyone?

Gah.
