First international post!!!1

So, I'm in Malaysia. Won't be on MSN or promptly replying to email for about a week.

They have no concept of "breakfast food" here. Everything is fair game, including fried rice and beef rendang. It's fantastic. And don't get me started on the decrepitude of the buildings...

Expect entries and photos when I return.

Yep, that sounds like Malaysia to me. *nostalgia*

Absurdly late reply, I know. I just bumped into some posts by your father on the NetBSD mailing lists (did not know he was a MySQL dev!) and suddenly remembered that I never replied to this comment! Also, I had coffee with Jennifer Turner last week and you came up fleetingly in some context I can't recall. I don't think I even knew that the two of you knew each other.

So, nostalgia? How many countries haven't you been to.

Yeah, dad has his ties to MySQL. *shrugs*

Heh heh, coffee with Jen, eh? Adelaide is indeed tiny. And yeah, Jen and I used to be housemates. :) Friendship has ensued, even if we don't see each other much.

I've only been to twenty-odd countries. I've never been anywhere in Africa or South America.

A tiny city indeed. I went to highschool with Jenny.

"Only" 20 odd? You are thoroughly beating my 2. Hopefully that number will increase somewhat at the end of this year or beginning of next, when I honeymoon in some as-of-yet undetermined subset of Europe, which will include at least Germany.
